This is the first time I visited your web page, although I am an avid listener for many years. Good to see the faces, too. Now I can put the face with the voice.
Ilove your traditional style of music and have become a blue grass fan. I think you play some of the best pieces of music. Therefore my radio is always set on KRRM, through the day and night.Your music is pleasant, relaxing, and spirit lifting.
The Rogue valley is a better place to live because of KRRM.

Good day,
While traveling in your area I had the pleasure of listening to your station. I loved your playlist. On Sunday, October 28th at about 1:20 p.m. you played a hauntingly beautiful song. I didn’t have great reception so I only heard some of the lines, but there was a beautiful falsetto section that was part of the chorus I think.
If you know the song I’m mentioning please send me the title. I really thought it was wonderful.
thanks,

I have friends in Grants Pass and have been thru there many times to visit. Also have driven trucks up and down the ‘5′. I listen to your station every chance I get. When will you stream it to me on the net? Yours is by far the best old time C&W I ever get to hear. Thanks for making the effort. Dan

Dear KRRM,
While traveling home to Seattle, last Sunday, I was station surfing and came upon your wonderful station. The music selection is outstanding, with Baxter Black the icing on the cake. Next time I’m traveling through Grants Pass, I make sure I stick around a bit to hear more of your outstanding catalog.
Let me know if you ever publish playlists. I’d love to have a list of the few songs I heard around Noon last Sunday.
Many thanks!

To the Folks at KRRM,
Wow, What great music! It’s wonderful to listen to the older country, the blue grass and old time radio. I drove back from Medford many a late night after classes last year and the old time radio kept me entertained and laughing.
This is the best station for that feeling of being in touch with America. I wish I knew who sang the Star Spangled Banner early in the morning some 3 weeks ago. It was a female singing acappella joined late in the song with a male voice. It is the best version I’ve ever heard. It makes my American heart bloom.
I have also gotten introduced to artist new to me, like Laurie Lewis.
Thank You for so much enjoyment.

When I am in Oregon and can get your station, it is a breath of fresh air. Thank you for the oldies, which are so seldom played elsewhere. There is one I am trying to find…LOVE ME NOW. Can’t remember who made it, or who sang it, maybe my memory is going, but would love to find it. Do you have it in your music library? Can you tell me anything about it??
Thanks
Betty

Shirley, Herb & Keith,
Thanks for playing my songs this week. My freinds and family tuned in and enjoyed listening to your western swing show last night. As a kid I remember watching my mom and dad dancing to Bob Wills and the Texas playboys.
I enjoyed visiting with y’all last week. It was nice getting to chat with Butch Martin too!
Thanks for making me feel right at home.
Have a great week!

Thank you to the Bells and staff for so many hours of good listening.

We’ve been listening to the cream of country music from the beginning. There isn’t anything close to it in the northwest. Although we can barely hang on to the signal in our car down here in Ashland, there’s no signal in our home. Is there any way you can get a stronger signal down here?
I usually roll the window down when I’m parked and waiting for gas at COSTCO or in other parking lots. I’ve been asked many times about the station and I’m always pleased to say, it’s the Cream of Country, 94.7.
Keep up the good work and programming.

We camped at the local campground over 3 years ago and found this radio station by accident. What a neat surprise! The music and the people on the station really make it a neat and unique piece of nostalgia. My husband and I and even our kids look forward to when we pass through Rogue River and Grants Pass just so we can listen to this station. We’ll be camping again locally and cannot wait to once again tune in. Thank you for providing this radio enjoyment.

People say I’m to young to listen to such old music. I’m a 26 yr old man who enjoys country music. However, nothing on the radio plays “country” anymore, except you. Your stubborness to stick to genuine country music is greatly appreciated. Please keep up the great music and tradition of the Cowboy. Hope you guys stream on the internet soon for those occasions when I’m away!
God Bless!

We moved here 5 yrs. ago from San Antonio, Texas and found your station by accident. I can honestly say my radio has not been off your station the whole time. We go south for the winter and only wish it was on one of the satellites. Keep up the OUTSTANDING work!!!!! David

Howdy Herb and Shirley, I went to your site hoping to have streaming audio so I could listen at work. Maybe someday, huh! Thanks for playing the Sons of Oregon tunes on KRRM. We appreciate all you do. Have a good summer….Skip

I was up in the soda mtns. on a cattle drive and heard your station, I loved it. I am so surprised you are not available by listen live, or the satellites. Is there any way I can hear your station? Thanks Vicki

I looked up the web-site and was hoping to find streaming audio. I moved away from Grants Pass and was hoping to ease my home sickness by listening to my favorite radio station. Good luck and god bless. Thanks, Tom.

KRRM has the best bumper music I have ever heard. I love to hear some of the great instrumentals. I also love the blue grass music they play. Keep it up, you guys!!

I guess I’m not alone in either my praise or my wishing you guys streamed your music. I’ve caught you guys for years on my drives up and down the I-5, always getting gas or lunch in Grants Pass and searching for your station on the dial. I’m now a lucky man in that my current lady friend’s parents live in Grants Pass; unfortunately I’m in Corvallis. Your station never ceases to amaze me and make me nostalgic for a time I wasn’t alive (usually) to hear! Thanks.

I have been coming to Medford 4-5 times a year for several year for a week at a time . I found your station a few year ago and enjoyed it from the first day . I will no longer be making those visits and wish I could get your programing on the internet. If that will happen anytime soon please me know .

I drive to Medford for a three day work stay every month. Until I found your radio station I dreaded the trip. Now it’s the highlight of my work month, just because I’m excited to listen to your programs. When Radio Was is great entertainment for someone driving at night. I drive all over the state and there is no other station that compares. Thank you.

Hello all,
I moved here from Montana, in 2003 for work. I have been listening ever since, and have finally taken the time to write. I grew up on a ranch in southwest Montana, just north of Yellowstone park. I truly love your station, as I get homesick on occasion, and your programming reminds me of stations that I grew up with. I especially appreciate the cowboy humor, Red Steagall, Baxter Black, and the Cowboy Show with Overcast on Sunday mornings. My radios in the shop and the bedroom, run your station when ever I am there. All night Coast to Coast, which I have listened to from way back in the Art Bell days, since 1998 and the weekends constantly.
Although I do like the Rogue Valley a lot, and 42 is probably a little old to get homesick,
my new home here in Eagle Point would not be as comfortable for me as it is without your fine station. I have build antennas (I am a Ham) just to pull your signal into Eagle Point, as it is a little weak here. I have helped friends with radios and antennas so that they can enjoy KRRM also. Some had been here for years, and never found you on the dial. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to many more years of enjoying your programming. Thanks!

Down in San Diego for work and am in withdrawal from my favorite radio station.
When I worked for Rogue River I would listen to KRRM and at home in the Applegate.
How do I get your station piped down here? If only there was a way!
Keep up the good work and great music.

Wish I could lister over the net. I live in Fullerton,Ca. But when we go there to visit I listen the whole time that we are there.
I’m a truck driver from Houston Texas, now living in Ca. and you have the BEST STATION ON THE AIR in the U.S.A. even better than XM. I wish I could get your broadcast around Ca. Wishing you much success. Aaron Tyler.
December 12th, 2009 at 7:22 pm
I would love to see you broadcast over the net so I could share your great station with family and friends outside of the Rogue Valley. Also, I’d love to see you post your playlists so I can find out what I’m listening to. For example, this past Monday (December 7) around 11:13 a.m., right before an identification break, you played a great song that I’d like to purchase on CD. Unfortunately I don’t have a clue who the artist was, or the name of the tune. Keep up the great work!

Herb and Shirley
You are a treasure to us. Thanks for all your work to keep pure country alive in the hearts of Americans. Country is American music. Thanks. I grew up in San Diego and I remember being around 10 years old and choosing KSON radio station. I moved to the Rouge Valley just about the time you started your station and I have been choosing KRRM and listening to you since the first day I found you. I loved calling my friend John Russell in Nashville to tell him I heard his songs on your station. That morning I was driving to work and you guys played Tag a Long, from Buck’s and my Cd Trucks Trucks Trucks one of my dreams was fulfilled. I can’t thank you enough for that. You guys support local music people so well. I have been getting calls from friends who are hearing cuts from my new CD Songs from the Heart on your station. You guys Rock, in a very Country way. Keep up the great work.
A big fan Dan

I love your station and have listened for years. Seems to me though that you are getting away from some of the really old country songs. My dad was born in 1918 and alot of the old ones remind me of him. I used to hear him sing some of them. Hope that is not what we call progress. Miss the oldies. Helen

Howdy Herb and Shirley,
You all have done a great job arranging good music and cowboy poetry, thanks. Sure would appreciate a webstream as I work in Africa, 1 month on & 1 month off and would enjoy listening to hometown music while I’m there. I also live in Sunny Valley so the signal is weak and have to get over Sexton Pass to enjoy. Is there any way I could help you establish a webstream?
All the best,
Bill

I found this station when I drove to Cave Juction the first time a week ago. All my Grants Pass stations had faded and I was left with static, Until I turned to 97.4 and was hooked. I moved to this area only a couple of months ago. I don’t drive very much. I would love to have the station played through the internet. I don’t have a “radio” at home. I love the show at 10:15 everyday! Thank you for the great station!

Krrm is the only radio station I listen to, other than classical music on public radio. You folks do a really good job. I am a little worried however. It seems like you are playing more and more of the the non cream music. I realize the new country music is more popular than the old, but I am sure you have a solid base of old country folks. Please don’t let the good music you play get away from you thanks
February 21st, 2010 at 12:53 pm
Great Music!! For the most part, I listen to it exclusively. Thank you for having such a great selection of classic country. I have converted many of my friends to your station. The new stuff just doesn’t do it for me. The first time I heard Dale Watson on the cream I was awe-struck. I have since bought every one of his albums and spread the word about the “western underground”. Could you play a little more of Chris Ledoux’s older stuff? To me, in the 80’s he was a critical part of keeping country-country. Thanks and great job.

Hi Shirley and Herb, I’m the one on the short bus who calls and asks who a particular artist was every so often. I really miss Don’s voice on one of the other stations that I no longer listen to. If you can get him to join your staff I would be totally thrilled. I love 99% of the music and stories and your always so helpful when I call. By the way I never get tired of Don Williams, Crystal Gale and all my kids love your station finally got them weaned off of Rap YAH! thanks for a great assortment music. I like the talk show in the morning early too, kinda interesting unlike Mr Limbaugh. Better stop while I’m ahead.

Hi Folks, My wife and I were driving from Stayton OR down to Weed California to visit family this past Saturday morning. We own and operate a low power AM community radio station here in Stayton and I have been hooked on broadcasting since I was a little guy. After DXing all the stations available as we came down the mountain towards Merlin, we found 94.7… What a treat. This was Saturday Morning and you were automated but heard some great music and promos… I left Grants Pass in 1975.. Had your station been on the air then I would have stayed… Well done..

The best thing on radio! I set my radio to 94.7 and leave it. Where can I get a KRRM hat?
June 2nd, 2010 at 12:28 pm
Hello.
First off I’d like to say how much I appreciate what you do and love your station.
I’m 19 years old and my friends and I listen often. Being so young, we are all unfamiliar with the artists and songs that are played on your station, and I would really love to know. It would be nice if someone could give us that information on air from time to time.
Another request: More Bluegrass and Appalachian Folk!! Doc Watson, Jean Ritchie!!
I think if I heard Appalachian folk music on your station, I would never change the channel.
July 26th, 2010 at 10:57 am
I posted a comment back in 2008 that you can see above. I’m still in love with KRRM. I can’t wait for our camping trip to Grants Pass in a week so we can listen to your lovely station. We enjoy the music during the day and sitting around the campfire at 9pm listening to When Radio Was. I’m 43 and my husband is 39 and we are neither too young or old for your station. It just fits. Our only concern is where we can find a radio that will last us because usually we run out of power half way through the program. (It’s one of those self-wind radios).
Streaming through the Internet would be heaven if you can do it again. I know you did it years ago and didn’t have much of a response, but it seems like folks would love to have it again.
Thanks for the good times down South!
August 1st, 2010 at 10:44 am
Thanks for the bluegrass. I can’t get enough of it. I love the old timey songs plus the new grass also.
Do you think there will come a time when you may consider streaming your content on the web again. The signal from your 94.7 transmitter is a bit weak out here in O’brien, but would come in great on the internet!
Thanks!

Hi, Herb & Shirl!
I am so excited and happy you have brought traditional country music and bluegrass to radio, something that you don’t see much of anymore. My dad plays bluegrass and gets out to play wherever and whenever possible. He grew up with the traditional style of country as well.
My late boss, Chester Smith (who founded KFBI My 48 in Medford) came from the old school country artists like Ernest Tubb, Roy Acuff, Hank Williams and more. He was even credited for helping to start the career of one Merle Haggard. They remained best friends until Chester’s death in 2008.
I used to work in radio and am always happy to see nostalgia and tradition. Keep up the wonderful work! Look forward to hearing ya next time I head up that direction.
Sincerely,
Mike Summers

Thanks so much for all the wonderful types of music you play. Growing up in ND my Mom’s kitchen radio was always tuned to a country music station. I guess it’s in my heart & soul. I especially enjoy the Sunday Gospel Music time while I’m driving to church. Keep up the good work!
