Firefighters Battled Two-Alarm Vegetation Fire on Holton Creek Road in Kerby
Firefighters battled a two-alarm vegetation fire in the Kerby area yesterday.
On Tuesday at 3:02 p.m., the Illinois Valley Fire District responded to the reported fire in the 100-block of Holton Creek Road.
Upon arrival, IVFD elevated the uncontrolled burn to a two-alarm fire, which brought mutual aid from the Oregon Department of Forestry, Rural Metro Fire Department and Grants Pass Fire & Rescue.
Crews were eventually able to contain the blaze at approximately 1-1/2 acres.
No injuries were reported and the exact cause of the fire was under investigation.
