American Legion Dinner and Breakfast
American Legion Grants Pass Post 28, 206 NW F Street, has a First Friday dinner September 5th from 4:30pm – 6pm, and a Legion Market Breakfast September 6th from 9am – 11am. Cash only. Proceeds benefit American Legion Veteran programs. Call 541-474-6400 for more details.

Flag Retirement Ceremony
On Saturday, September 6th, at 10am, the Rogue Valley Young Marines will be holding a flag retirement ceremony for the large flag on Union Avenue. The public is invited. Anyone who would like to make a tax-deductible donation for a new 40 x 80 flag can mail that to Caveman Kiwanis, PO Box 1, Grants Pass, OR 97527

Saturday and Sunday, September 13th and 14th

Community Trash Cleanup
The Motherline and Cave Junction Farmer's Market will have an Epic Community Trash Cleanup Saturday and Sunday, September 13th and 14th from 9am – 1pm along the Kerby Mainline Road in Kerby. Activities include a picnic, prizes, ice cream, and more! Call 541-294-0260 for more information.

Pacifica Fall Harvest Fair
Pacifica: A Garden in the Siskiyous, is putting on a Fall Harvest Fair event September 27th from 3pm – 10pm at 14,615 Water Gap Rd in Williams to raise money for Pacifica, while also showcasing the resources they provide. Along with food, beverages, rides, raffles, and games, there will be local bands, group led folk dances, and a performance of the Corn Dance, a traditional Native American ceremonial dance. Pregnancy Care Center Gala
Pregnancy Care Center announces its fundraising gala, “Storytellers,” featuring speaker Josiah Presley October 2nd and 3rd from 6:30pm – 9pm at the Josephine County Fairgrounds Pavillion Building. Zonta Goodwill Fundraiser
Zonta of Grants Pass, a non-profit supporting women and girls in Grants Pass, is holding a Goodwill Trailer Fundraiser Saturday, October 4th, from 10am – 4pm. Bring Goodwill approved donations to Logan Design, 707 SE 7th St. Goodwill gets the donations and pays Zonta per pound. Walk N' Roll: Parade of Superheroes
C U Later's 4th annual "Walk N’ Roll: Parade of Superheroes" event is Saturday, October 11th at Twin Creeks Park in Central Point from 10am – 1pm. Family Registration is $20 pre-sale or $25 on the day. 100% of proceeds go to Asante's Pediatric Infusions. Come dressed as your favorite superhero, enjoy food, win prizes, and help make a difference.

RVHS Murder Mystery Dinner
Join the Rogue Valley Humane Society for a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre at Cartwright’s Taprock Northwest Grill on Friday, October 24th, from 5pm – 9pm. Tickets are $80 and can be purchased at the Rogue Valley Humane Society. Space is limited!

Senior Self Defense Classes
The Rogue River Community Center is teaching Senior Self Defense Classes at the Rogue River Annex, 138 Broadway Street, in Rogue River. They are held Saturdays from 11AM until Noon, and Tuesdays from 7:15PM – 8:15PM. The Instructor, Santa JD Barron, is a 4th degree black belt who will teach you how to defend yourself with a walking cane, plus hand-to-hand combat techniques. Call 541-821-7464 for more information.
Southern Oregon Amateur Radio Club
Southern Oregon Amateur Radio Club meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Fruitdale Grange, 1440 Parkdale Dr. Starts at 6:00pm and is open to the public.
Second Friday Poetry Reading
Grants Pass Museum of Art, 229 SW G Street is hosts their Second Friday Poetry Sharing every second Friday of the month from 7pm to 9pm. These events are free to the public and all are welcome to come read or just listen to poetry. Donations are welcome. Fruitdale Grange Monthly Bunco Group
Fruitdale Grange, 1440 Parkdale Drive, is hosting a monthly Bunco group on the 4th Friday of each month at 5:30pm. Please bring a snack to share. Cost is $10 Per Person and all must be 18 years old to attend. For more info text 541-660-4435.

We have everything you need to do just that. KAJO and KLDR would like to encourage you to be ready; disaster can strike at any time. We have a Handbook for Homeowners titled "Before Wildfire Strikes." We also have information on "Living on Shaky Ground; How to Survive Earthquakes and Tsunamis." We are open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to noon, at 888 Rogue River Highway in south Grants Pass.
